Server Events
Overview
Server Events adds timed competitions to your dedicated Minecraft server. Players compete on a temporary scoreboard, then once the events end the top scoring player is rewarded .
Features
- Fourteen event themes, including kills, damage, deaths, trading, building, farming, fishing, shearing, milking, chopping and experience.
- Random event cooldowns from 2–48 hours and an adjustable event duration.
- A sidebar title showing the active event and its remaining time.
- Manual start, stop, force-stop, pause, resume, status, cooldown and duration controls.
- Completing an event awards emeralds to participating players. Forced stops give no rewards.
- The Holy Potato item is available to server administrators and provides brief absorption, saturation and regeneration while held in the main hand. It cannot be eaten.
How to Use
Use these commands from the server console or as an operator:
/serverevents start most_fish_caught/serverevents status/serverevents cooldown 5(2–48 hours)/serverevents duration 1(1–48 hours)/serverevents stopto finish and reward/serverevents forcestopto cancel without rewards/serverevents pauseand/serverevents resume
Event scores can be managed through the displayed server_event scoreboard objective. The optional addscore command is useful for testing an active event.
