Compatibility

The following mods are explicitly incompatible with SignEdit, due to modifying the same code.

• Chat Calc (chatcalc) by Emirlol.
• Improved Sign Editing (improvedsignediting) by Serilum.
• SignCopy (signcopy) by TerminalMC.
• Sign Edit Lite (signeditlite) by pintergabor.
• Sign Tools (signtools) by DmitryLovin.

Beyond this list, you should generally assume that other mods altering the sign editor will not be compatible.

SignTweaks

A collection of tweaks to improve the sign editing experience.

Features

All features can be turned on or off at will using the config screen.

Enhanced Editor

• Automatic line wrapping.
• Manual line breaks with an optional indicator.
• Continuous cursor travel using arrow keys.
• Stepped travel using home and end keys.
• Multi-line automatic shifting.
• Multi-line selection.
• Multi-line copy and paste.

Quick-Action Buttons

• Copy all text to internal memory, retaining line-by-line formatting.
• Replace all text with what was previously copied.
• Erase all text.
• Revert the text to the original state when the sign editor was opened.
• Quick-action buttons can be configured to instantly close the screen when pressed.

Block Held Keys

• Block input from any keys that were held down when the editor was opened, until they are released.
• For example, if you have sneak bound to Z, this will prevent spamming Z when opening the editor.

Revert On Escape

• When exiting the editor by pressing the ESC key rather than clicking the Done button, undo any changes made since opening the editor.

Edit Condition

• Skip opening the editor when placing or right-clicking a sign, optionally depending on whether you are sneaking or not.

Click-Through

• ClickThrough Plus is recommended for use with SignTweaks.
• In case it is not available, SignTweaks includes a basic implementation that allows clicking through wall signs, banners, item frames and paintings to most block entities.

Auto-Fill

• Automatically add text to signs when placing.
