Description
SIMP Bridge
Give your stream's audience a server of their own. SIMP Bridge links your survival server (the player server) to a second viewer server that holds a live, one-way copy of your world. Viewers join it to watch any streamer through their eyes, listen in on voice chat, raise pets and spend gems — without ever being able to touch the real world.
🎥 Watch live
- A synced copy of your world. Chunks, block changes, mobs, items, particles and sounds are copied as you play.
- First-person spectating. Watch any streamer through their eyes with a smooth camera, including their hand, held items, hotbar, hearts, food and XP.
- Their inventory. Press E while watching to see a streamer's full inventory.
- Free cam. Fly around the world, or follow someone's pet.
- Your world stays safe. Viewers are spectators on a separate server: they can't break blocks, grief, or slow down your game.
🎙️ Voice chat (with Simple Voice Chat)
- Proximity. Viewers hear streamers nearby, just like standing next to them.
- Groups. Every voice group appears as a [LIVE] group that viewers can listen to.
- Talk-back. Streamers can let chosen viewers talk to them.
- Group HUD. A small list shows who's in the group on the other server, and who's talking.
🐾 Pets
- 9 species: dog, cat, parrot, fox, rabbit, axolotl, frog, bee and allay. Each has its own looks: wolf variants, cat breeds and colours.
- Drive your pet around the streamers' world in first or third person. It looks wherever you point.
- Emote wheel: sit, jump, spin, beg, shake, sleep and more.
- Make it yours with a name, dyed collars, hats (on top or as its head) and particle trails.
- No server cost when idle. Pets fall asleep when nobody's steering them, and they never load chunks.
💎 Gems & the Gem Shop
- Earning gems: viewers get gems from a daily login streak and, optionally, Twitch Bits cheered on your channel.
- Spending gems: new pets and looks, 16 hats, 11 trails, a sound played at a streamer, or a hat on a streamer for 5 minutes.
- No pay-to-win. Everything is cosmetic or just for fun, with no gameplay advantage. Admins can change every price.
- Leaderboard of the top gem holders.
🛡️ Streamers stay in control
- Their own menu (G) with a switch for everything viewers can do: hear you, watch through your eyes, see your inventory, play sounds, put hats on you, bring pets near you. All on by default.
- Block single viewers, and send nearby pets home.
- Staff roles: streamers manage the whitelist from the menu, and moderators handle gems and Twitch.
- Automatic hand-off: whitelisted players are moved to the player server when they join.
📈 Built for big audiences
- Your game server doesn't slow down with viewers. It sends everything once to the viewer side, however many people watch.
- Several viewer servers can run side by side for large crowds. When one is full, new viewers are moved to the next.
Requirements
| Minecraft | 1.21.1 |
| Loader | NeoForge |
| Servers | Two: a player server and a viewer server, both with SIMP Bridge |
| Clients | The same SIMP Bridge version as the servers |
| Optional | Simple Voice Chat (servers and clients) for voice |
| Optional | A Twitch developer app for Bits → gems |
The viewer server also needs every mod in your pack that adds blocks, mobs or dimensions, so it can show them.
Getting started
- Put SIMP Bridge on both servers.
- In config/simpbridge-common.toml, set one server's role to player and the other's to viewer, and give both the same shared secret.
- Point the viewer at the player server's bridge port. Keep that port private, for your servers only.
- Start the viewer server from an empty void world. It fills in as the copy arrives.
- Join the viewer server and press G.
FAQ
Can viewers change my world? No. The copy only flows one way, and viewers are spectators on a separate server.
Do I need Velocity or BungeeCord? No. Players are moved between the servers with Minecraft's built-in transfer.
Is voice chat required? No. Without Simple Voice Chat, everything except voice still works.
Can I play without the mod on my client? No. Everyone needs the same SIMP Bridge version to join either server.
