Animated Quarries is not just a utility mod - it's an upgrade into the very philosophy of resource gathering. With rich progression, immersive animations, and powerful yet balanced mechanics, this mod turns mining into a visual and strategic experience.

Forge version refactor:

All neoforge 1.21.1 code has been modernized from the older 1.21.4 format and restructured to standard forge conventions.

Refactored GUI and Container logic:

Inventory systems, smelting behavior, and upgrade logic were rewritten for stability and modding compatibility.

New depth and range calcualtion logic:

Quarries now evaluate how many Drill Bits you've inserted, and compute depth dynamically based on your Y-level and world type (Overworld, Nether, End).

Modular Upgrade Detection:

The logic has been upgraded to support Fortune modules, Autosmelting, and Range Upgrades, including stacking effects and diminishing returns, giving players meaningful choices.

Performance-conscious logic:

Quarries scan chunks and break only target blocks based on tags, minimizing lag and unnecessary drops.

Progressive Tier System:

Start with the Basic Quarry, then climb the tech tree to Tier 2 and Tier 3, each faster and more efficient. All quarries require Drill Bits to function and break over time.

Intelligent Chunk-Based Mining

The quarry scans and evaluates chunk-level ore density, focusing on valuable ores first and skipping junk blocks. Modded ores are supported automatically, provided they are tagged properly.

Level-Dependent Efficiency:

The deeper you mine, the more drills you'll need. The quarry adjusts based on its Y-position and dimension, giving meaning to your drilling strategy.

Upgrade Modules:

• Slot in upgrades to customize your quarry:
• Fortune Upgrade - Increases drop quantity based on stack size.
• Autosmelter Upgrade - Auto-smelts ores before ejecting them.
• Range Upgrade - Expands the block breaking radius.

Sustainable Operation

Quarries aren't infinite. Each action drains internal logic (tracked with itemstacks) based on upgrades, breaking distance, and current depth. This ensures balanced progression.
