Description
Simple Discord Auth
Simple Discord Auth is a lightweight and robust authentication solution that links Minecraft accounts to Discord profiles. It replaces traditional, insecure in-game passwords with a modern bot-based verification system.
Key Features:
- Passwordless Login: Users verify their identity through Discord, eliminating the need to type and remember passwords in-game.
- Enhanced Security: Protects your server from account spoofing and "cracked" client exploits by requiring a linked Discord ID.
- Easy Management: Automatically syncs player access with your Discord community, making it easier to manage whitelists.
- Lightweight Performance: Designed to be efficient with minimal impact on server startup times or tick rates.
How it works:
When a player joins the server, the mod checks for a linked Discord account. If not linked, the player is prompted to verify via a simple command or a button interaction with your Discord bot. Once verified, the session is remembered, ensuring a smooth experience for returning players.
Using Simple Discord Auth
Make sure you have installed the correct mod loader for your server version (Fabric/Forge/Quilt).
- The downloaded jar file should be placed in your server's mods folder.
- Upon first boot, a configuration file will be generated where you must input your Discord Bot Token
