Description

Speedometer adds a small HUD that shows how fast you’re actually moving, whatever you’re riding.

Features

  • Works with everything: walking, sprinting, horses, boats, minecarts, elytra flight and Create trains or contraptions you’re seated on.
  • Three styles: a needle dial with a green-to-red arc, a bar, or plain text.
  • Units: km/h, mph, m/s or blocks per second (1 block = 1 m).
  • Top speed: your fastest speed is marked on the gauge, with a key to reset it.
  • Auto range: the gauge rescales itself, so walking and elytra flight both read clearly. You can also set a fixed maximum.
  • 3D or horizontal speed: 3D counts diving and climbing, which suits elytra. Horizontal counts ground speed only.
  • No false spikes: teleports, mounting or dismounting, and dimension changes don’t make the reading jump.
  • Your layout: pick a corner or above the hotbar, then adjust the offset, size and smoothing. It can also hide itself while you stand still.

Controls

  • K shows or hides the speedometer.
  • Reset top speed and Switch unit can be bound under Controls → Speedometer.

Settings: Mods → Speedometer → Config, or config/speedometer-client.toml.

Client-only: you don’t need it on the server, and it works on vanilla servers too.

Requires: NeoForge for Minecraft 1.21.1.
