Simple Status Mod
Simple Status Mod is a lightweight, server-side Minecraft mod that lets players set custom statuses displayed in chat, the tab list, and in front of their nametag. Statuses support Minecraft color and formatting codes, are saved persistently, and work for everyone - clients do not need the mod installed.
The official status mod used in Build Attack 9.

/status <text>- Set your own status/status clear- Remove your own status/status <text> <player>- Set another player's status [requires appropriate permission]/status clear <player>- Remove another player's status [requires appropriate permission]- Statuses displayed in chat, the tab list, and in front of player nametags
- Chat, tab list, and nametag displays can be enabled or disabled individually
- Configurable maximum status length
- Minecraft color and formatting codes (
&0-9,&a-f,&l,&o, etc.) - Persistent status storage across server restarts and player reconnects
- Individual status for every player
- Permission-based access control (grant permissions with e.g.
LuckPerms):ssm.status.own- Manage your own statusssm.status.universal- Manage your own status as well as the statuses of others
- Server operators have permissions by default
- 100% server-side - vanilla clients can see everything
