Simply Rubies

This is the cliche first mod for almost everybody, and this is no exception. However, I wanted to go a bit further than the other 98%, by giving mine actual decent custom textures- no recolored Diamond Ore or Emerald Blocks here boys! And added a new food- the Ruby Apple. 

Ruby Ore - Ruby Ore has the same rarity as Diamond, but spawns at slightly higher levels.

Ruby Equipment - Ruby Equipment is as good as Diamond, as far as protection and what it can break and how much damage it does, however it has roughly 500 less durability- a total of 1000 uses. That being said, it also has the Enchantability of gold nearly, meaning while it will need to be repaired more often, you are more ap to get better enchantments on it. If I had to rank it in a tier list, it falls between iron and diamond solidly. 

Ruby Apple - Ruby Apples look a lot like a normal apple, perhaps tricking an unaware friend, however it can not stack. The apple restores a large chunk of food, however biting into it may not be as tasty as you'd think. You will take 2 hearts of damage, however the apple also grants roughly 50 seconds of Haste 4! Making this an expensive, but compared to beacons cheap, way to get haste!
