Description
Siphon
Fluid storage and transfer for Tom's Simple Storage. Connect a cauldron or compatible tank to your existing cable network, then browse, deposit and withdraw liquids through Tom's regular Storage and Crafting Terminals.
Features
- Basic Fluid Cables and Fluid Cable Connectors link fluid containers through Tom's cable network alongside your item storage.
- The Fluids view shows liquid textures, names and amounts in mB. Use the existing search field and switch back to Items whenever you need it.
- Deposit filled containers and withdraw your selected fluid into an empty bucket directly in the terminal.
- Fluid Hoppers move liquid from their wide end towards the nozzle. Redstone power pauses transfers; extracting from a network requires a Fluid Filter.
- Fluid Filters use Tom's familiar filter editor. Copy samples from filled containers without consuming them.
- Use Tom's Inventory Configurator for connector filters, priorities, capability sides, skip controls and keep-last. Keep-last reserves one bucket (1,000 mB) of each fluid.
- All four items have Survival crafting recipes and appear in the Siphon Creative tab.

Dependencies
- Install Siphon on both the client and server, with the exact Tom's Simple Storage version listed in your file's changelog. Required versions vary between Minecraft releases and loaders.
- Fabric and Quilt: use Tom's Storage for Fabric, plus the Fabric API or QFAPI/QSL libraries and any other dependencies listed for that file.
- Forge and NeoForge: use Tom's Storage for Forge/NeoForge.
- Tank mods are optional. Vanilla water and lava cauldrons work as a starting point.

Getting started
Place a Fluid Cable Connector against a cauldron or tank, then connect it to a Tom's Storage network using fluid cables or Tom's cables. Open a normal Tom's terminal and select Fluids. Click a fluid with an empty bucket on the cursor, or leave an empty bucket in your inventory, to withdraw it. Click the fluid grid with a filled container to deposit it.
For automatic transfers, point a Fluid Hopper's nozzle towards the destination. Configure a Fluid Filter when drawing a particular liquid from the network.
Initial alpha
The supported builds pass native integration, saved-world lifecycle, clean installed-jar and ordinary two-client multiplayer checks. The Minecraft 1.21.1 NeoForge compatibility profile also covers Mekanism tanks, Functional Storage fluid drawers, Immersive Engineering barrels and Industrial Foregoing liquids. Compatibility with every mod or multiblock has not been verified. Back up existing worlds before trying an alpha.
Siphon is an independent addon. Tom's Simple Storage by tom5454 is required separately and is not bundled. Fluid ingredients and outputs for Fabricate autocrafting are a separate future integration.
Development disclosure
Generative AI assisted with the code and this description. The project icon is a render of Siphon's actual Fluid Hopper inventory model, using the same rendering layout as Fabricate. Gallery images are real in-game captures.
