Description

Slayer's Beasts adds a variety of real & fantasy mobs to the modded minecraft experience as well as over 20 new biomes to explore (with more yet to come). This mod aims to add a degree of challenge to the game with some harder mobs & bosses, while attempting to integrate these features seamlessly with the vanilla game. When this mod has reached a more complete stage I may migrate worldgen features to a separate mod.
Existing Features
- Ant colonies (WIP)
- Praying mantis
- Wither spider
- Ambient damselflies
- Ents & Wudu (Oak, Birch & Jungle - more to come)
- 2x2 Mighty Mushrooms
- White/Black mushrooms (+ huge & mighty versions)
- Wood types: Aspen, Redwood, Willow, Eucalyptus, Desert Oak, Kapok, Bloodwood, Cypress
- Icicles
- Mud pits
- Crypt pocket dimension (spawns a dungeon which is deleted on exit)
- Biomes including: Outback, Aspen Forest, Redwood Grove, Brushland, Ice Caves, Volcanic Peaks, Fungal Depths, Bayou
Future features
- More ambient mobs - snails, butterflies, cicadas
- Illager variants (e.g. necromancer, artificer, charger)
- Various bosses
- More tree types
- More Overworld, Nether & End biomes (e.g. scorched forest, burning marshes)
Dependencies
Required
Optional
Compatibility
There is an addon mod for all the Dynamic Trees lovers which brings the growth functionality to the custom trees of Slayer's Beasts (Forge 1.20.1 & NeoForge 1.21.1).
These are the biome mods which have been confirmed to be compatible with Slayer's Beasts (As of the latest version), but this mod should be compatible with all other TerraBlender biome mods.
- Biomes O' Plenty
- Oh The Biomes You'll Go
- Terralith
- Nature's Spirit
- Wyther's Expanded Ecosphere
- Terrestria
- Regions Unexplored
The biome region weights can be adjusted using the config which can be changed in the config folder or via ModMenu (Fabric only).
The project is actively updated with new features and bug fixes. Please report any bugs or idea suggestions to the issue tracker.
Only gameplay changes are shown on the Modrinth/CurseForge changelog - full changes are available on GitHub.
