SLS Reloaded is a client-side mod that replaces the black loading screen with a smooth fade from a screenshot taken when you last left a world or server. Instead of staring at a blank screen while chunks generate, you pick up right where you left off.

Based on Seamless Loading Screen by Minenash, rebuilt and maintained for modern Minecraft with support for both Fabric and NeoForge from a single codebase.

How it works

When you disconnect from a singleplayer world, Realm, or multiplayer server, the mod captures a screenshot of your current view. The next time you join that world or server, that screenshot is displayed during the loading screen and fades out as chunks finish generating — giving you a seamless transition back into the game.

Features

  • Seamless fade-in — configurable delay before fading and fade duration
  • Per-server control — enable, disable, or use a custom/frozen screenshot per server from the multiplayer screen
  • Server blacklist — disable the mod for specific server addresses (Realms is blacklisted by default)
  • Screenshot tint & blur — adjust tint colour, strength, and optional background blur
  • Sound effects — optional sound when the fade begins, with custom sound, pitch, and volume
  • World icons — optionally update your singleplayer world icon when leaving
  • Screenshot archiving — keep old screenshots instead of overwriting them
  • Multi-user support — save screenshots by username to avoid conflicts on shared installs
  • Camera lock — optionally disable camera movement during the fade
