SmartShield

Keep an eye on your shield before it breaks.

SmartShield automatically warns you when a held shield reaches low durability. An orange alert appears at 10% remaining, then changes to red at 5%.

Features

  • Monitors shields in either hand and identifies the affected hand.
  • Shows one compact warning for the weaker shield when both hands hold shields.
  • Displays the percentage and exact durability remaining.
  • Plays a subtle sound when entering a warning state, with a cooldown to avoid repeated alerts.
  • Clears the warning when you repair, replace, or remove the shield.
  • Offers local settings for thresholds, sounds, the HUD, and exact numbers.

A small, transparent text warning sits just above the hotbar, below the item name and hides while menus are open or the HUD is hidden. It reads the durability available to your game and does not change damage, blocking, or your inventory.

Compatible custom shields are recognized through their shield class or damageable attack-blocking component. Items with shield-like names alone are not treated as shields.
