Description

Someone’s Home

Someone’s Home is a psychological Minecraft horror mod about a house that slowly starts learning you.

At first it feels small. A noise near the door. A tap at the window. A breath somewhere behind you. But the longer you stay in one place, the more the house begins to understand your habits. It remembers what rooms you spend time in, what doors you lock, where you hide, what windows you stare through, and what places make you feel safe.

Then it starts using that against you.

The House Learns

This mod is built around a memory system. Your home is not just haunted randomly. It watches patterns.

If you lock doors often, the haunting becomes more door-focused.
If you keep looking through windows, the house becomes more glass-focused.
If you hide near your bed, the bedroom starts becoming unsafe.
If you spend too much time in one room, that room becomes important to the haunting.

The more attached you are to a place, the more the mod twists that place into something wrong.

The Houseguest

The main threat is the Houseguest, a tall shadowy creature that stalks the player around their home. It does not feel like a normal mob. It watches, waits, disappears, returns, and gets worse as the haunting grows.

It can appear near doors, windows, bedrooms, storage areas, and places the house has learned are important to you.

The goal is not constant jumpscares. The goal is paranoia.

Atmosphere And Ambience

Someone’s Home adds creepy environmental effects to make your world feel cursed without completely destroying the normal Minecraft feel.

Features include:

  • Creepy fog and darker atmosphere near haunted homes
  • Strange grass and water tinting
  • Distant footsteps
  • Window tapping
  • Door creaks
  • Whispering
  • Breathing nearby
  • Fake sounds from rooms you are not in
  • Subtle night ambience
  • Signs that the house is reacting to your behavior

The mod is meant to make your own base feel unfamiliar.

Progression

The haunting gets stronger over time. Early events are subtle, but later stages become more aggressive and personal.

The house builds pressure through:

  • Curiosity
  • Fear
  • Irritation
  • Memory
  • Repeated player behavior

The longer you survive around the same home, the more the mod changes how it scares you.

Multiplayer

Someone’s Home works best when installed on both the server and all players’ clients.

The server handles the haunting logic, creature behavior, memory, and events.
The client handles visuals, sounds, atmosphere, and creature rendering.

Accessibility And VR

The mod includes options to reduce intense effects.

You can disable forced camera scares, screen effects, and heavy atmosphere through config. VR-friendly settings are included so the mod can feel creepy without being uncomfortable.

Summary

Someone’s Home is for players who want a slower, creepier horror experience instead of loud cheap jumpscares.

It turns your house into the threat.

You are not alone.

Something is learning where you sleep.
