Sonic Discs

Sonic Discs is a Minecraft Java Edition 1.20.1 Forge mod that lets players use their own local MP3 files as custom music discs.

The mod adds three new items:

• a blank MP3 Disc;
• an MP3 Music Table;
• a dedicated MP3 Player.

Use the MP3 Music Table with a disc to assign a local MP3 file to it. The recording is saved on the disc, so the same disc can be removed, reused, and played again without uploading the song a second time. Players can also return to the music table and replace the existing song with another MP3 file.

Insert a recorded disc into the MP3 Player with right-click to start playback. Right-click the player with an empty hand or another item to stop the music and retrieve the disc. The recording remains saved after the disc is removed.

All three items are available in Creative mode and have survival crafting recipes. The mod includes custom vanilla-style textures for the music table, player, and inventory items.

Sonic Discs is designed for Minecraft Java Edition 1.20.1 with Forge 47.x. Audio playback is client-side: the MP3 file is played only on the computer of the player using the disc. The mod stores the local file path on the disc and does not distribute or upload the MP3 file. The original audio file must remain available at the same location on the player’s computer.
