Description
Spawn Biome Picker
A small mod that lets you choose which biome you spawn in when you create a new world. It adds a button to the Create World screen, so there's no config to edit and no biome IDs to look up.
How to use it
Create a new world and open the World tab. There's a new Spawn Biome button there.

It opens a list of biomes with a search box, similar to the language menu. Click one and press Done.

Create the world and you'll start in that biome.

What it does
- Searchable biome list with translated names
- A different spawn biome for every world
- Lets you pick several biomes at once (experimental, see below)
- Search radius can be changed in the config
- Tells you in chat if the biome wasn't found
- Biomes added by other mods show up too, as long as they exist in your world type
- Translated into 13 languages
Picking several biomes (experimental)
You can click more than one biome in the list. The first one you pick is the main biome and you spawn in it. The mod then looks for a place where the other ones are nearby.

This part is experimental. Searching for a combination is slower than a single biome, small biomes can get missed, and some combinations just don't exist in a given world. If nothing is found, you spawn normally and get a message in chat.
Settings
Open Mods > Spawn Biome Picker > Config to change these in game.

| Option | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Search radius | 10000 | How far (in blocks) the mod looks for the biome. Bigger values find rarer biomes but loading takes longer. |
| Combination distance | 128 | Experimental. How close each selected biome has to be to the spawn point. |
If the biome isn't found
If the biome doesn't exist within the search radius, you spawn at the default location and get this message:

Things to know
- The choice only applies when the world is created.
- You spawn near the found spot, not exactly on it, because of vanilla's spawn radius.
- Cave biomes (Lush Caves, Deep Dark) put you on the surface above them.
- Singleplayer only. Dedicated servers don't have a world creation screen.
- Very rare biomes with a huge radius can make world creation take a while.
