Two Trials, Two Difficulties

The Supreme Trial is the standard encounter, using yellow arena lighting and balanced phase timings.

The Elemental Trial is a separate, harder trial with its own health, damage, defense, projectile, phase and reward settings, using red arena lighting.

Both trials have completely independent configuration — changing one never affects the other.

Fight Mechanics

Multi-phase boss: the Supreme Sorcerer cycles through several attack styles as its health drops — homing soul bolts, scorch volleys, abyssal projectiles, spinning light beams, vortices and phase-transition barrages. Phase events latch after their first trigger, so healing the boss will not replay completed phases.

Barrage Inferno: at each phase threshold the arena becomes a barrage hell for a fixed duration. Every aspect is configurable per phase, including transition density and spawn interval, an optional sustained barrage with its own density, the Fission Flame ratio and split count per volley, and the damage, i-frames and percentage-damage rules.

Fission Flames: fission projectiles carry a 60-tick fuse. When it expires they detonate into a full ring of tracking bolts. They do not vanish at the arena edge — they fly until they leave the arena or hit something.

Golden beams: single or four-way lasers sweep across the arena. The first beam starts 15 degrees off the line to the current target and rotates through it, so it is always readable but never free. Beam rotation speed is configurable.

Sealing and revival: losing a fight seals you in a prism instead of killing you outright. A HUD line above the hotbar shows your remaining trial lives and a live countdown until the seal breaks. Yellow for the Supreme Trial, red for the Elemental Trial.

Elemental Regalia: clearing the Elemental Trial can reward the Elemental Regalia, a Curios accessory with its own animated model. It can also be fused onto a chestplate, keeping the original armor's stats.

Configuration

Nearly everything is exposed in config/supreme_sorcerer-common.toml and the server-side phase files. This covers arena radius, shrink per phase, wall height and barrier style; per-trial and per-phase health, damage, defense, distance reduction and i-frames; barrage densities, spawn intervals, fission ratios and split counts; beam count, rotation speed, warning ticks and damage; projectile live-count cap, vertical collision expansion and hit rules; rewards and trigger items for each trial; and client-side visual toggles for barrier, red sky, night vision and LOD.

Completing the Elemental Trial can reward the Elemental Regalia. The Elemental Regalia is a Curios accessory with its own model and configurable effects, including damage reduction, damage-source analysis, projectile protection, health protection, and death-save mechanics.

Players can earn independent advancements for completing the different trials. Rewards and stack sizes are configurable, with optional Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks integration.
