Freezing Staffs:

All these staffs requires snowballs for shooting. They deals damage to entities: Silver and Golden - 5 hp, Other - 2 hp. When projectile hits block, it places snow above it or ice if it was water.
Crystal Staffs:

These staffs do not have magical abilities, but they do a lot of damage: Ruby - 7hp, Other - 5 hp. Use amethysts as ammo. Projectiles can break glass.
There are 3 staffs at the top of this category with a little different properties. Diamond Staff has the greatest number of use count, Ruby Staff deals the greatest damage, while Sapphire Staff has knockback.
Fire Staffs:
tools in category (durability): Golden (100), Netherite (500), Staff of the Nether (3000)
They can smelt ice and fires blocks and enemies, but projectiles are being destroyed by water. Use blaze powder for shooting. Golden Fire Staff can be crafted in workbench, Netherite Staff crafted by upgrading Golden, Staff of the Nether requires special magic upgrade smithing template (can be found in the Fire Temple) and Neyher Starr. It has much more durability and slightly increased damage (4 vs 3).
Fire Temple. Small structure that spawns in the Nether, due to the specific of generation at a fixed height (y=68), in the Nether Wastelands and Crimson Forest biomes. There are 3 blazes as guardians. You can find some random loot (golden ingots and nuggets, blaze powder and roods, enchanted golden tools, swords, flint and steel or golden fire staff) and guaranteed Fire Magic Upgrade Smithing Template.
Wind Staffs:
tools in category (durability): Wooden (7), Stone (12), Copper (50), Iron (100), Diamond (450), Netherite (1500)
Staffs uses no ammo, deals a little damage (1hp), but has huge knockback. Also it can put out the fire.
Some other uncategorized staffs:
Lord's of the Seas Staff. Use water from bottles and places water where charge fell.
Bone Staff. Sometimes deals extra damage and drops bones from enemies. Uses bone meal for ammo.
Tropical staff. Uses melon slices and feeds players.
And a little more information. Projectiles has no gravity and fly pretty fast on a straight trajectory, despawns after 10 seconds of fly. Crafting recipes you can found at images page.
