Starfold

Starfold turns the Minecraft world into planets. Walk around one, build a ship, and fly it to the next.

Explore real planets

Every planet is made of ordinary Minecraft terrain. Head one way and keep going, and you come back to where you started. There is no teleport and no loading screen on the way, and everything you know still works: building, redstone, farms, mobs, caves and ores.

Build your ship

Ships are built with Create and Create Aeronautics. Starfold adds the parts that take them into space: a ship controller, thrusters, a booster, an attitude gyro, navigation scopes, a folding airstair and a dock for a small aircraft. An in-game guide in the advancements tab takes you from your first andesite to lift-off.

Fly from the ground to another planet

Lift off, climb through the sky into space, lock a planet, cross the gap and land. It is one continuous flight: no dimension change and no loading screen. Your base stays where you left it, and a launch marker points the way home.

Planets of many climates, terrains and biomes

Temperate, desert, ice, archipelago, basalt, crystal, mushroom, rocky and more, large and small, each with its own caves and ores. Suns, orbits, planets and planet types are datapack registries, so you can write your own star system without touching code (datapack guide).

Getting started

1. Install the requirements below.
2. Create a new world and choose a world type:
   • Starfold: Experience starts you beside a ready-made ship on a pad, to try flying first.
   • Starfold: Generated Universe starts you with nothing, to build your own.
3. Open the advancements tab and follow Build a ship.

Requirements

Before you install

Starfold is in alpha.

• Single-player only for now.
• No shader packs. Planets need the vanilla renderer. With Sodium, Iris or Embeddium installed the planets are not drawn.
• Back up your world before updating. Saves are not guaranteed to carry over between versions.
• Other mods may not work on planets. Compatibility has only been worked on for the mods listed above.

星海折越

星海折越把 Minecraft 的世界变成一颗颗星球。可以绕着一颗走一圈，也可以造一艘船飞去下一颗。

想直接开玩？ 安装 Starfold Experience 整合包：包含星海折越，以及版本完全匹配的 Sable、机械动力、机械动力：航空学和 Immersive Aircraft。

探索真正的星球

每颗星球都由普通的 Minecraft 地形构成。认准一个方向一直走，最后会回到出发的地方。途中没有传送，也没有读条，熟悉的一切照常运作：建筑、红石、农场、生物、洞穴和矿物。

建造你的飞船

飞船用机械动力（Create）和机械动力：航空学（Create Aeronautics）建造。星海折越补上让它飞进太空的部件：飞船控制器、推进器、加力器、姿态陀螺仪、导航观察镜、可收放的舷梯，以及能带上一架小型飞行器的停机位。进度页里的游戏内指南会带你从第一块安山岩一直到离地。

从地面飞向另一颗星球

起飞，穿过天空进入太空，锁定一颗星球，飞越中间的距离，然后降落。这是一段连续的飞行：没有维度切换，全程无缝加载。基地还在原处，起飞点标记会指给你回去的方向。

多种气候、地形和群系的星球

温带、沙漠、冰原、群岛、玄武岩、水晶、蘑菇、岩石等等，有大有小，各有各的洞穴和矿物。恒星、轨道、星球和星球类型都是数据包注册表，不用改代码就能写出自己的星系（数据包说明，英文）。

开始游戏

1. 安装下面的前置。
2. 新建世界并选择世界类型：
   • 星海折越：体验：出生点的停机坪上有一艘现成的飞船，可以先试飞。
   • 星海折越：随机宇宙：从零开始，自己造。
3. 打开进度页，跟着"造一艘船"走。

运行要求

安装前请知悉

星海折越处于 alpha 阶段。

• 目前只支持单人。
• 不支持光影包。 星球需要原版渲染器，装了 Sodium、Iris 或 Embeddium 时星球不会绘制。
• 更新前请备份存档。 版本之间不保证存档兼容。
• 其他模组在星球上不一定正常。 目前只针对上面列出的模组做过适配。
