Stored Program Controls

Stored Program Controls brings programmable industrial-style logic control into Minecraft.

Build control systems, process signals, create automated workflows, and connect logic to your world in a way that feels inspired by real controller programming while still being fully adapted to Minecraft and modded gameplay.

Overview

This mod is built around the idea of a compact programmable control system that can be placed, configured, and used directly in-game.

Instead of only using basic redstone behavior, Storage Programmed Controls lets you create structured automation systems with programmable logic, signal processing, and specialized control blocks. The goal is to give technical players a more advanced and satisfying way to automate machines, contraptions, and industrial builds.

At the same time, the mod expands beyond real-world limitations and adds features that only make sense in Minecraft.

Since Version 0.2.0.1, SPC Core is not anymore required to install as well, it is just a library for addon developers that ships in the main SPC jar for runtime.

Main Features

  • Programmable control system for in-game automation
  • Logic-based inputs, outputs, and function blocks
  • Timers, counters, memory functions, and signal processing
  • Redstone integration for reading and controlling signals
  • Support for modded automation setups
  • Saveable and shareable programs
  • Minecraft-exclusive control features designed for technical gameplay

Minecraft-Exclusive Features

Storage Programmed Controls is not just a simulation of real control hardware. It is designed specifically for Minecraft.

Depending on your setup, the mod can be used for things like:

  • reading redstone states as logic inputs
  • controlling redstone outputs through programmed logic
  • interacting with FE-based systems
  • integrating rotational or machine-based automation from compatible mods
  • creating compact control solutions for factories, bases, and technical builds

This makes the mod useful both for realistic-style industrial projects and for advanced modded automation.

Intended Experience

The mod is made for players who enjoy:

  • technical Minecraft
  • automation-heavy gameplay
  • redstone systems
  • factory building
  • structured logic programming
  • engineering-inspired contraptions

The overall design aims to feel technical, powerful, and clean, while still fitting naturally into Minecraft.

Design Goal

The goal of Storage Programmed Controls is to make advanced control logic feel like a natural part of Minecraft.

It is meant to offer more depth than standard redstone without becoming disconnected from the game. The result should feel like a true programmable controller system rebuilt for a block-based sandbox world.

Compatibility

This mod is especially well suited for automation-focused modpacks and technical survival worlds. It works best in environments where logic control, machine interaction, and structured automation are a major part of gameplay.

For Developers

You can create addons for the mod via SPC Core API. Documentation on how to do that can be found in the official Wiki
