Streaming Reminders
Streaming Reminders is a client-side Minecraft mod made for one very important reason:
to stop you from slowly turning into a dehydrated shrimp while playing Minecraft.
It sends funny, configurable reminders while you play, covering things like hydration, food, posture, focus, breaks, long sessions, and general goblin maintenance.
Some reminders are normal.
Some are rare.
Some are deeply suspicious.
You never quite know what is coming next.

Latest update
This update adds more polish, more chaos, and more support for the current story route.
Added / improved
- New Mascot stage content
- Mascot helper behaviour and learning report
- Fun new side stages added :D
- Popup route polish
- Special event polish
- Essential compatibility/support fixes
- Config folder cleanup
- More reliable story/progress saving
- General UI and reminder flow improvements
- Bug fixes
The current main route is:
Give Up → Delusion → Schism → The Merger → PIP → Mascot → Temporary Ending
The Temporary Ending is still the current ending gate.
Future content can be added beyond it later without replacing the current route ending.
What does the mod do?
By default, reminders trigger randomly while you are actively playing, usually between 10 and 20 minutes apart.
This can be changed in the config.
The timer only runs while you are actually in a world, so pausing the game pauses the reminder timer too.
Streaming Reminders can remind you to:
- Drink water
- Eat something
- Fix your posture
- Take a short break
- Refocus
- Stop becoming one with the chair
- Avoid unlocking the kidney stone questline
- Perform basic creature maintenance before the goblin takes over
Popup response system
Some reminders can appear as popups instead of only chat messages.
Popups usually let you respond with buttons such as:
DONE
LATER
IGNORE
The popup system includes:
- Timing rules
- Hover text
- Stage-based visuals
- Sound changes
- Different button behaviour
- Moving, dodging, flickering, morphing, or renamed buttons
- Special event popups with custom layouts and behaviour
Annoyance and escalation system
Streaming Reminders has an optional annoyance / escalation system.
The more you ignore, delay, or refuse basic creature maintenance, the more the mod’s mood can change.
The current escalation path includes:
Neutral
Skeptical
Annoyed
Fuming
Intervention
Hostile
Give Up
Delusion
Schism
The Merger
PIP
Mascot
Temporary Ending
Each stage has its own:
- Reminder messages
- Status lines
- Flavour text
- Popup style
- Sounds
- Button behaviour
- Active prefix
You can turn the escalation system off in the config if you only want normal reminder behaviour.
Stage overview
Neutral
The normal starting stage.
The mod is calm, friendly, and mostly just trying to help you remember basic self-care before anything gets weird.
Skeptical
The mod starts noticing delays and questionable choices.
It is not angry yet, but it is watching you with increasing doubt.
Annoyed
Ignoring reminders starts to become a pattern.
The mod becomes sharper, more judgemental, and less convinced that you can be trusted with your own spine.
Fuming
The final mostly polite warning zone.
The mod becomes more direct, buttons may become less friendly, and the popup makes it very clear that DONE is the sensible option.
Intervention
The situation has officially become a creature-management issue.
Expect stronger popup behaviour, more intense status lines, and less patience.
Hostile
Open conflict with your choices.
The mod is no longer pretending everything is fine.
Some buttons can become harder to use, and special events may become more aggressive.
Give Up
The detached stage.
The mod stops emotionally escalating and enters a resigned, procedural reminder mode.
Advice continues.
Hope is mostly offline.
Delusion
The mod stops expecting better and starts rewriting reality internally.
Expect stranger reminders, Reality Override styling, unusual popup behaviour, and route choices.
Schism
The internal reminder departments can no longer agree.
Different departments begin arguing over the same reminder.
The Merger
After Schism fails, the system tries the worst possible solution:
corporate restructuring.
The departments are forcibly merged into one corporate wellness problem.
PIP
PIP stands for Performance Improvement Plan.
At this point, the mod is no longer simply reminding you.
It is managing you.
Mascot
After PIP, the system assigns a friendly helper.
The helper watches, learns, reacts, misunderstands Minecraft, and eventually creates a learning report.
Temporary Ending
The current route eventually reaches a temporary ending.
This marks the current end of the special escalation path for now.
Special events
Streaming Reminders includes rare special events and popups.
Some examples include:
- Pick a Number popup
- Fake blue screen style event
- Fuming Woodchuck popup
- Drill Sergeant popup
- Terms Violation popup
- Hotbar Audit popup
- Hostile Agriculture threat popup
- Hostile Loose Thread popup
- Subject Classification event
- Popup Fusion
- Corporate Wellness events
- Mascot events
- Fun side-stage content
Special events have cooldowns and timing rules so they should not appear constantly.
Config options
Streaming Reminders has a detailed config so you can control how much chaos you want.
You can configure:

You can enable or disable reminder categories:

Each category also has a configurable weight.
Higher weight means that category appears more often.
Custom reminders
You can add your own reminder lines in the config.
Simple custom reminders can just be plain text.
Advanced custom reminders can use this format:
message|CATEGORY|WEIGHT|THEME|COOLDOWN_MINUTES
Available categories:
HYDRATION
POSTURE
FOCUS
FOOD
SYSTEM
SPECIAL
Available themes:
NORMAL
GOBLIN
SYSTEM
Examples:
Drink water|HYDRATION|3|NORMAL|15
Sit up properly.|POSTURE|2|GOBLIN|10
Hydration audit underway.|SPECIAL|1|SYSTEM|45
Story stage override
The config includes a story stage override option.
This is mainly for testing, debugging, or players who knowingly want to jump ahead.
For normal gameplay, this should be left as:
NONE
Warning: forcing a stage can skip earlier stage-only events and one-time popups.
Config and saved progress
Streaming Reminders stores its client config in its own folder:
config/streamingreminders/
The mod may also create small progress files to remember story stage, reminder state, side-stage completion, and per-world/per-server progress.
These are not duplicate configs.
They are used so the mod can remember your route progress when you return to a world or server.
Client-side only
Streaming Reminders is client-side.
It is designed for the player using it and does not require a server install.
On multiplayer, saved progress is client-side and player-specific.
Final note
Streaming Reminders is for anyone who needs a funny, slightly unhinged, configurable reminder system while playing Minecraft.
Whether you need to drink water, eat something, sit up properly, stop becoming one with the furniture, survive popup bureaucracy, endure corporate wellness restructuring, or get judged by a helpful rectangle with questionable knowledge, this mod has your back.
If you would like this on another mod loader or Minecraft version, leave a comment mentioning what version/loader you would like.
