Swing Beat Guitar — Swing Your Guitar and Fight with Musical Notes

Swing Beat Guitar is a mod for Minecraft Java Edition that lets you wield guitars as weapons. Enjoy three-hit guitar combos, ranged attacks using musical notes, sheet music upgrades, and additional gameplay with amplifiers and speakers.

Gather materials to craft your first guitar, then upgrade it into more powerful variants and build equipment that suits your fighting style.

Main Features

  • Three Guitar Types
    Adds acoustic, classical, and electric guitars. Each guitar has different attack damage, attack speed, and range, along with its own model and textures.

  • Animated Three-Hit Combos
    Left-click to swing your guitar. Chain successive attacks together to perform a three-hit combo.

  • Mystic Transformation and Musical Note Projectiles
    Use special sheet music to transform compatible guitars into mystic weapons. Apply the “Increased Projectile Damage” enchantment to fire musical notes with right-click.

  • Additional Abilities through Grade 4 Sheet Music
    Grade 4 sheet music can hold a random additional ability, and each guitar can have one of these abilities equipped. Abilities include musical note attacks against nearby targets, homing attacks, defense, healing, and support for allies and pets. Press C to activate them by default. These abilities do not require mystic transformation.

  • Amplifiers and Orbiting Speakers
    With Curios API installed, you can equip amplifiers and speakers. The mod adds four amplifier tiers and five speaker types, with up to ten speakers orbiting the player. Speakers perform additional attacks when you fire musical notes from an electric guitar. Different combinations affect damage, projectile count, projectile speed, and range.

  • Repairs, Upgrades, and Displays
    Repair guitars with wire, and use guitar fragments to increase their attack damage and attack speed. Recharge amplifiers with batteries, and display your favorite guitars on guitar stands.

Getting Started

Craft your first guitar using wood, iron wire, and gold nuggets. Collect materials and sheet music to upgrade it into higher-tier guitars, then use an anvil for upgrades and enchantments. Install JEI to view crafting recipes and the mod’s special anvil recipes.

  • GeckoLib 4.x, version 4.9.3 or later — required

  • Curios API 9.x, version 9.5.1 or later — required to equip amplifiers and speakers

This mod is currently a prototype under development. Equipment stats, recipes, and ability balance may change in future updates.
