Swing through grass to hit mobs: attacks no longer get eaten by tall grass, ferns and plants, so your sword reaches the target through foliage. Lightweight, server-side, no client needed

About
Description
Swing through grass to hit mobs — your attacks stop getting eaten by tall grass, ferns, and other non-colliding plants and reach the entity behind them. Solid blocks still block attacks as usual.
Server-side mod — required on the server (or in singleplayer). Vanilla clients can join and use it, no client install required.
Fabric needs Fabric API and Architectury API. NeoForge needs Architectury API. Forge needs no additional dependencies.
Free to use in any modpack — public or private, no permission needed.
What it does
- Hit through foliage — swing at a mob standing in tall grass, ferns, flowers, or other plants with no collision and no fluid (including modded foliage of the same kind) and your attack lands, instead of being wasted on the plant. Air is not seen through.
- Solid blocks still protect — only those passable plants are seen through; walls, fences, and real blocks stop attacks as normal.
- Closest mob — the hit goes to the closest one that is not hidden behind a solid block.
- The plant stays — the block is not broken when the hit lands.
- Server-side & vanilla-friendly — runs on the server; players join with an unmodified client, and it works in singleplayer too.
Details
- Reach through grass matches your entity interaction range (effects, equipment, other mods). On 1.19.2 and 1.20.1 it stays 3 blocks (5 in creative).
