Sword Blocking

This datapack brings back the ability to block with a sword in Minecraft! Originally a feature in older versions of the game, the ability to block attacks with a sword was removed. With this datapack, the classic sword-blocking mechanic is revived and seamlessly integrated into modern Minecraft versions.

Features:

  • Sword Blocking: Hold the right mouse button key while wielding a sword to block incoming attacks. Blocking significantly reduces the damage you take.
  • Compatible with All Sword Types: Whether you're using a wooden, stone, iron, gold, diamond, or netherite sword – blocking works with all of them!
  • Strategic Combat: Use blocking to gain tactical advantages in fights, especially against melee mobs or incoming projectiles like arrows.
  • Easy Installation: No mods needed – just drop the datapack into your world folder and start playing!

How to Install:

  1. Download the datapack and place it in the datapacks folder of your world.
  2. Reload the world or use the /reload command.
  3. Enjoy the classic sword-blocking feature!
