Synaxis Anchor Damping Fix

An unofficial compatibility addon that improves Gravity Anchor rotational damping on Sable physics structures.

What does it fix?

Gravity Anchor rotation damping can amplify angular motion on elongated or unevenly weighted structures. This can cause violent spinning and vehicle launches, including at a rotation damping setting of 0.25.

This addon replaces the rotational damping calculation with an inertia-aware, timestep-dependent calculation and configurable torque and angular acceleration limits.

Requirements

- Minecraft 1.21.1
- NeoForge 21.1.248 or newer
- Synaxis 1.4.3 or 1.5.x and its dependencies
- Sable - tested with version 2.0.5

Install the addon alongside Synaxis on both the server and clients.

Configuration

Server configuration: `synaxis_anchor_fix-server.toml`.

- `maxAnchorAngularAcceleration`: default 25.0 rad/s²
- `maxAnchorDampingTorque`: default 1000000.0 N·m

The fix is enabled automatically after installation.

## Tested compatibility

Tested with Synaxis 1.4.3 and 1.5.0 on Sable 2.0.5, including native physics tests at rotation damping 0.25.

Use one Gravity Anchor per rigid body. Multiple anchors do not share a single damping budget.

This addon addresses Gravity Anchor rotational damping. It does not fix every possible physics or constraint issue.
