Tachyon

With Tachyon, you can become something truly unimaginable.

Drink the Speed Serum and you'll gain extraordinary powers. You'll be able to run faster than sound, walk straight through walls and control time itself

The serum is crafted at a crafting table:

What you can do

Outrun sound itself

Ten speed levels, and you earn every one of them. Speed builds up smoothly the longer you run, with no instant jumps. At level 5 you break the sound barrier: a shockwave ripples out, a deafening boom rolls across the land, and anything in your way is thrown aside and takes 5 damage.

Leave a trail of lightning

Golden lightning crackles behind you wherever you run. The faster you go, the longer and brighter the tail gets.

Run on water, up walls and across ceilings

From level 3 the surface of water will hold you, as long as you keep moving. Hold Shift to dive in. From level 5, look up, hit a wall and keep running, even across the ceiling.

Walk through walls

Phasing makes you vibrate through solid blocks. Arrows pass through you and mobs lose track of you. You can stay phased for 30 seconds, but you'd better find open air before it ends.

Control time

• Time Slow: the world crawls while you stay fast. It's a toggle that lasts as long as you want.
• Time Stop: everything freezes for up to 3 minutes. Only speedsters can move. Use the silence to plan your next move, or just enjoy it.

Meet yourself

Temporal Relics open a swirling portal of lightning, and out steps a perfect copy of you: same skin, same armor, same items, same health. It follows you, defends you and fights by your side like a loyal wolf, only faster and with your gear. Right-click it to tell it to stay or follow. It climbs walls to reach you, heals slowly on its own and never dies from falling.

Heal on the run

The Speed Force gives you passive Regeneration, so you're always recovering a little, even in the middle of a sprint.

Operators can use /tachyon grant and /tachyon revoke for testing
