Description
## Build Your Dream Armory!
Display 100 guns—or build toward an even larger collection—without the heavy rendering overhead of a wall full of item frames!
TACZ Wall Display turns your TACZ guns into static decorative blocks, making large weapon displays much more practical while preserving the detail of the original models.
Tested with 100 different gun prototypes. Actual performance depends on your hardware, gun models, attachments, and graphics settings.
## Why I Made This Mod
TACZ already lets you display guns in item frames, which is a great starting point for building an armory. However, rendering many detailed guns at once can still cause substantial frame rate drops, even with TACZ's existing optimizations.
I wanted to build large weapon walls without turning the game into a slideshow.
This mod converts gun items into non-functional decorative blocks and renders them as static models, reducing the repeated rendering work needed for large displays. Your original gun is preserved and can be recovered whenever you want to use it again.
## Features
- **Large weapon displays:** Designed for showing many guns together in the same view.
- **Your gun, your attachments:** Decorative guns retain the original gun's equipped appearance and stored data.
- **Dynamic gun pack support:** Reads models and textures directly from installed TACZ gun packs, rather than relying on a fixed catalog.
- **Detailed models:** Uses the original high-detail gun models without requiring gun pack authors to provide simplified display models.
- **Flexible placement:** Place guns on walls, floors, or ceilings. They can remain in place after their supporting block is removed.
- **Adjustable orientation:** Rotate guns in 22.5° steps or turn them over to display the other side.
- **Reversible conversion:** Recover the original functional gun, including its attachments and ammunition.
Compatibility is intended to cover a wide range of TACZ guns and attachments. Unusual models or custom rendering features may require additional support.
## Important Major Update & How to Use
- Completely redesigned the system experience by introducing a brand new "Gun Placement Mode". (Press P key to toggle this mode by default, and it's configurable in TACZ key category)
- **How to control**: See the help info at top-right conrner of the screen when you toggle the Placement Mode up. Discard the old "craft to convert" method.
- Old converted deco-gun item in storage would be automatically converted to real-normal gun for further placement or operating.
## Requirements
Requires TACZ and the appropriate version of this addon for your Minecraft version and mod loader.
(As for version 1.21.1:You can find the unofficial update of TACZ on Modrinth! )
Gun models and textures come from TACZ and your installed gun packs. Credit for those assets belongs to their respective creators.
