Description

TaCZ First Person Compat — A First-Person Rendering Bridge
TaCZ First Person Compat is a small client-side compatibility mod for [TaCZ] Timeless and Classics Zero and First-person Model.
When both mods are installed together, First-person Model can interfere with TaCZ’s first-person gun and hand rendering. This may cause held guns, aiming, hand placement, reload animations, firing animations, and add-on weapons to appear or behave incorrectly.
TaCZ First Person Compat resolves that conflict by allowing TaCZ to retain control of the first-person view whenever the local player is holding a supported gun.

Very Early Beta — Active Development
TaCZ First Person Compat is currently in a very early beta and is not the complete or fully polished version of the mod.
Some compatibility fixes may be incomplete, some planned behavior may not be implemented yet, and certain features may not work correctly in every setup. Additional updates will continue improving detection, rendering behavior, compatibility, reliability, and overall polish.
Early adopters should expect occasional issues and changes while the mod develops. Detailed feedback through the WITHHELD STUDIOS Discord will help identify the combinations of mods, add-ons, and weapons that still need attention.

A focused compatibility fix that activates only when needed.
-
Prevents First-person Model’s player body from interfering with TaCZ’s first-person rendering while a supported gun is held.
-
Allows TaCZ to retain control of gun models, hands, aiming, firing, and reload animations.
-
Detects TaCZ weapons through the
IGuninterface instead of relying on hardcoded item IDs. -
Supports TaCZ add-on guns automatically when they use TaCZ’s standard gun-item system.
-
Applies only to the local player while playing in first person.
-
Restores normal First-person Model behavior when a TaCZ gun is no longer held or the player leaves first person.
-
Fully client-side—servers do not need TaCZ First Person Compat installed.

TaCZ keeps control exactly when its first-person renderer needs it.
-
The mod checks whether the local player is currently using the first-person camera.
-
It checks the held item through TaCZ’s
IGuninterface. -
When a recognized TaCZ gun is held, the compatibility bridge tells First-person Model not to render its first-person player body.
-
TaCZ remains responsible for the visible gun, hands, aiming, firing, and reload presentation.
-
When the gun is put away or the camera changes perspective, the compatibility override is removed and First-person Model returns to its normal behavior.
Because detection is based on TaCZ’s interface rather than a fixed item list, compatible add-on guns should work without requiring a separate entry for every weapon.

Built specifically for TaCZ and First-person Model.
-
Required mods: [TaCZ] Timeless and Classics Zero and First-person Model
-
Installation: Client side only
-
Server installation: Not required
-
Weapon detection: TaCZ
IGuninterface -
Add-on support: Expected when the add-on uses TaCZ’s standard gun-item system
TaCZ First Person Compat is a compatibility bridge, not a standalone gun or first-person body mod. Both supported mods must be installed for it to serve its intended purpose.
Because the project is still in very early beta, behavior may vary between Minecraft versions, mod-loader versions, TaCZ builds, First-person Model builds, gun add-ons, and other camera or rendering mods. Use matching versions of all required dependencies and report reproducible conflicts through the official Discord.
