About
FlatSavanna for Terralith flattens Terralith's savanna terrain into wide, open plains while preserving the surrounding elevation, biome character, water features and smooth terrain transitions.
Instead of replacing Terralith's terrain generation, it reshapes the finished savanna surface so the result blends naturally into the rest of the world.
Requires Terralith โ hard dependency.
Install on both the client and the server. Works in singleplayer out of the box.
Free to use in any modpack โ public or private, no permission needed.
What it does
- Flattens savanna terrain โ hills, dunes and shallow hollows are reshaped into broad open plains while keeping the biome's natural elevation.
- Blends naturally โ flattening fades out near biome borders and softens larger highland formations instead of creating hard edges.
- Preserves water and surfaces โ rivers, lakes, grass, dirt, coarse dirt, red sand and other surface layers remain intact.
- Keeps world generation clean โ terrain is reshaped before vegetation is placed, so trees, grass and other features generate on the new ground.
- Seamless across chunks โ flattened terrain continues smoothly across chunk borders without visible steps or seams.
Supported Biomes
The add-on automatically affects vanilla and Terralith savanna biomes.
| Vanilla | Terralith |
|---|---|
| Savanna | Savanna Slopes |
| Savanna Plateau | Fractured Savanna |
| Windswept Savanna | Arid Highlands |
| Savanna Badlands | |
| Ashen Savanna | |
| Brushland | |
| Shrubland | |
| Hot Shrubland |
Other mods can add compatible biomes through the:
#fsterralith:savanna
biome tag.
Requirements
- Terralith โ required.
- Fabric API โ required on Fabric.
- Client & Server โ install the mod on both sides.
Important Notes
- New chunks only โ the mod changes world generation, so existing chunks are not modified. Start a new world or explore into newly generated terrain to see the changes.
- World decoration may differ โ installing a world-generation mod can change the placement of trees, vegetation and other generated features. The same seed may therefore look different with and without the mod.
- No configuration required โ install it alongside Terralith and generate new terrain.
For modpack makers
FlatSavanna for Terralith does not replace Terralith's terrain generator. It reshapes terrain after the main terrain has been generated but before vegetation and other decoration are placed.
This allows Terralith's custom landscapes, biome elevations, rivers and surface materials to remain intact while savanna terrain is flattened.
Other mods can opt additional biomes into the system by adding them to:
#fsterralith:savanna
The mod has no config file and requires no setup beyond installing it with Terralith.
