Description
What is it?
Tracks server time and translates it into the calender from the Elder Scrolls series. Players are presented with a message upon joining of the current date, and also after the day change they are presented with the new date in the same fashion.
Some important things to know:
- A year has 365 days in it, and there are no leap years
- A year starts on the first day of spring (March 14th). This is to achieve parity with seasons, which defaults the first day to Spring 1 - it is also traditional for Harvest Moon type games to do this
- An era is 1000 years
- A day has 24000 ticks
- There are (presently) no holidays implemented.
Why?
This was made specifically for the server my brother and I use, and I feel I can't be the only person who likes this kind of thing.
Forge version?
I don't plan to port it myself, but the implementation is pretty simple - only a small amount of tinkering is needed for anyone so inclined.
Backporting?
Same as with Forge. My friend group only really plays 1.20.1 currently, so that is the version I make things for
Can I use this in X?
I can't (and won't) stop you. Feel free to use on your server, in a video, in a mod pack, fork the mod and make changes.
Remarks
I (obviously) do not have any legal ownership of The Elder Scrolls IP, nor am I associated with Bethesda / Bethesda Softworks / Microsoft in any fashion. This is purely a love letter to the series at large and the lore they have established.
