About

Description

Tetra: Elemental Arsenal is a Tetra addon that allows you to add elemental runes to your modular weapons for a variety of effects! It is a successor to my 1.16 mod Tetra Upgraded Netherite Patch, but TEA is a fully standalone Tetra addon rather than a compatibility patch.

How to Use

Craft elementally imbued Netherite ingots with a variety of recipes. Imbued ingots unlock the Inscribe Runes improvement on nearly all major modules, as well as the Aesthetic Runes improvement, which is purely visual and does not consume the ingot. If a module has both aesthetic and regular runes, the aesthetic ones take precedence, and they can be removed independently.

All upgrades have different effects for melee weapons, ranged weapons, tools, and shields, determined by module type. Some modules (such as axes) count as both melee weapons and tools.

You can also apply coal or charcoal to hilts and handles for the aesthetic "sooted" effect, which makes them look like Netherite tools' handles.

Important note: Some upgrades have no effect, such as Vile, Blighted, Radiant, and Fulminous runes on tools. Double-check that improvements are being added before you spend an ingot!

Elements
Magmatic Runes (fire)

Melee and Ranged Weapons: +20% damage to burning targets. +50% burn time on fire enchantments (Fire Aspect and Flame).

Tools: Auto-smelting, toggleable with sneaking and right-clicking.

Shield: Prevents enemies setting you on fire with melee attacks. Burning attackers take damage when you block their attacks.

Frigid Runes (ice)

Melee and Ranged Weapons: +20% damage to cold-sensitive targets, including most fire-based creatures (and creatures from the Fungal Infection: Spore mod, if installed).

Tools: Can freeze water into ice (and then packed and blue ice) at the cost of durability.

Shield: Cold-sensitive attackers take damage when you block their attacks.

Fulminous Runes (lightning)

Melee Weapons: +10-20% damage in inclement weather. If you have the Charged buff, it gains a further damage increase and applies the Shocked debuff to targets, scaling with the level of Charged.

Ranged Weapons: Same effect as melee, plus arrows can summon lightning bolts when launched high into the air. The chance of success improves as the weather gets worse, and successful summoned lightning moves the weather towards thunderstorms. If you have the Charged buff, your chance of success improves.

Tools: No effect.

Shield: Grants resistance to lightning damage. If you block a lightning bolt, you gain the Charged buff; perfect parries grant higher levels and longer duration. If you block a hit while Charged and sneaking, you lose the Charged buff but release a damaging shockwave, scaling with the level of Charged.

Skyseeker Runes (air)

Melee Weapons: Deals additional knockback and applies the Levitation effect, toggleable by sneaking and right-clicking. +5% damage to airborne targets. +5% damage to Levitating targets.

Ranged Weapons: Arrows are weightless. Targets are pulled towards you.

Tools: While holding the tool, items are pulled towards you, toggleable with sneaking and right-clicking. Negates the mining speed penalty for not standing on the ground.

Shield: When you block an attack, the attacker can be knocked back and levitated.

Abyssal Runes (water)

Melee Weapons: +20% damage to fire-immune creatures and water-sensitive creatures (e.g. Endermen). +10% damage underwater (does not stack).

Ranged Weapons: +20% damage to fire-immune creatures and water-sensitive creatures (e.g. Endermen). Arrows are not affected by water.

Tools: Ignores the underwater mining speed penalty. Right-click lava to douse it into obsidian.

Shield: Fire-immune attackers take damage when you block their attacks.

Gilded Runes (gold)

Melee and Ranged Weapons: +20% damage to piglins, hoglins, and related mobs. +1 level of Looting; +2 levels if enchanted with Looting III.

Tools: +1 level of Fortune; +2 levels if enchanted with Fortune III.

Shield: Piglins take damage when you block their attacks. Piglin Brutes can't disable the shield with their attacks. Holding the shield (even if not blocking) reduces the knockback you take from Hoglins.

Phantasmal Runes (phantom)

Melee Weapons: +50% damage to phantoms (and associated creatures). +20% damage to other flying mobs. +1.5 blocks of reach.

Ranged Weapons: +50% damage to phantoms (and associated creatures). +20% damage to other flying mobs.

Tools: Sneak-right-click to give the Glowing effect to nearby creatures. +1.5 blocks of reach.

Shield: Phantoms and other flying creatures take damage when you block their attacks. Blocked projectiles are reflected back towards their original trajectory; if you are sneaking you can redirect them in the direction you're looking.

Vile Runes (poison)

Melee and Ranged Weapons: Poison targets. +15% damage to poisoned targets.

Tools: No effect.

Shield: Poisons attackers.

Blighted Runes (wither)

Melee and Ranged Weapons: Wither targets. +15% damage to withered targets.

Tools: No effect.

Shield: Withers attackers.

Voidwalker Runes (ender)

Melee Weapons: +20% damage to End natives or in the End. +1 Looting level on End natives. Applies the Dimensional Anchor debuff, preventing targets from teleporting, and dealing damage when they do.

Ranged Weapons: +20% damage to End natives or in the End. Arrows can hit Endermen. Applies the Dimensional Anchor debuff.

Tools: +50% mining speed in the End. +1 Fortune level in the End.

Shield: Applies the Dimensional Anchor debuff to attackers. When blocking a ranged attack, the attacker is teleported close to you and stunned.

All Items: Float above the Void rather than falling in.

Resonant Runes (sculk/echo)

Melee and Ranged Weapons: +20% damage to Sculk mobs. +10% xp on mob kills.

Tools: Faster mining below y=0 or in the Deep Dark. Mining is silent and does not trigger Sculk Sensors.

Shield: Slow regeneration in the Deep Dark. Sculk mobs take damage when you block their attacks.

All Items: Remain in your inventory on death.

Radiant Runes (sun)

Melee Weapons: +15% damage to Wither mobs. +10% damage to other undead mobs. +8% damage to Sculk and fungal (e.g. from Fungal Infection: Spore) mobs. Smite IV+ doubles the damage bonus. Attacking reduces the duration of negative effects on the user.

Ranged Weapons: +20% damage to Wither mobs. +15% damage to other undead mobs. +12% damage to Sculk and fungal (e.g. from Fungal Infection: Spore) mobs. Ignores the Wither's shield. Can dispel storms by launching arrows into the sky.

Tools: No effect.

Shield: Retaliates against all previously-listed mobs, in proportion to the bonus damage dealt.

Aetheric Runes (Aether) _Requires Aetheric Tetranomicon._

Melee and Ranged Weapons: +10% damage to Aether mobs.

Tools: +20% mining speed in the Aether.

Shield: Aether mobs take damage when you block their attacks.

All Items: Function in the Aether as though native to it.

Forgotten Runes (Undergarden)

Requires Tetra Undergarden Patch.

Melee and Ranged Weapons: +50% damage to Undergarden mobs.

Tools: +50% mining speed on Undergarden blocks.

Shield: Undergarden mobs take damage when you block their attacks.

Arcane Runes (magic)

Requires Iron's Spells and Spellbooks.

Weapons and Tools: +20% spell power, +25% cooldown reduction, and +25% cast time reduction.

Shield: +50% spell resistance, +20% mana regen, +150 max mana.

Optional Mod Compatibility

The Aether: Unlocks the Aetheric upgrade type; requires the Aetheric Tetranomicon Tetra addon. Fire mobs are tagged for the Frigid upgrade type.

The Undergarden: Unlocks the Forgotten upgrade type; requires the Tetra Undergarden Patch Tetra addon. Radiant upgrade affects its debuffs.

Iron's Spells and Spellbooks: Unlocks the Arcane upgrade type. Radiant upgrade affects its debuffs. The Fulminous upgrade type takes advantage of Iron's Spells and Spellbooks' mob effects and particles. All upgrade types have an associated spell school. All upgraded weapons and tools provide +20% power to the associated school of magic, +5% to all others, +10% cooldown reduction, and +10% cast time reduction. All upgraded shields provide +50% resistance to the associated school of magic, +10% resistance to all others, +10% mana regen, and +50 max mana. Tetra tools are imbuable.
