Thaumometer Remake

A Thaumcraft 5 addon that replaces TC5's original flat 2D Thaumometer with a fully three-dimensional lens effect.

【About This Project】
This mod is an original addon for Thaumcraft 5 (by Azanor). It is NOT a port or copy of Thaumcraft 4. All code, models, and textures in this mod are original creations by the author, developed independently using the Forge 1.8.9 rendering API and ASM bytecode transformation. No assets from Thaumcraft 4 or any other mod were used and fully complies with the ARR license of Thaumcraft 4.

【Inspiration & Credit】
The 3D Thaumometer visual style — the hexagonal golden frame, pulsing glass lens, and on-lens scan HUD — was originally introduced in Thaumcraft 4 by Azanor. This iconic design served as the creative inspiration for this mod. Full credit for the original concept goes to Azanor.

【How This Project Differs from the Original】
- Thaumcraft 4 is a complete magic mod for Minecraft 1.7.10, containing the 3D Thaumometer as one of hundreds of features
- This mod is a focused, standalone addon for Thaumcraft 5 (Minecraft 1.8.9) that specifically replaces TC5's flat 2D Thaumometer rendering
- All code is written from scratch for Forge 1.8.9 using ISmartItemModel, BakedQuads, and ASM coremod injection
- All models (.obj) and textures (.png) are original works created in reference to TC4's visual style

【Features】
- 3D hexagonal golden frame (OBJ model) with pulsing glass lens
- Player arms gripping the frame edges with real player skin texture
- Camera inertia: smooth lag/drag effect when turning
- Swing animations: lens and arms move together when mining or attacking
- Scan HUD: block/entity names and aspect icons displayed on the lens
- Third-person view: lens properly held at the player's hand, gem facing outward
- Dropped item and inventory/GUI views fully supported

【Installation】
1. Requires Minecraft 1.8.9, Forge 11.15+, and Thaumcraft 5
2. Place ThaumometerRemake-1.0.0.jar into your mods folder
3. Launch the game and hold the Thaumometer to experience the 3D effect

【Assets】
All models and textures in this mod are original creations by the author, made in reference to TC4's classic asset style. No assets from TC4 or other mods were used.
