Lore
In an alternate universe, humanity was hurtling toward its own destruction. In 2021, global tensions culminated in World War III, a devastating conflict that raged on for years, claiming the lives of millions. The most powerful nations clashed in an endless spiral of violence, until, in February 2026, the unthinkable happened. Desperate to end the war once and for all, the leaders of the nations decided to use their most lethal weapon: the nuclear arsenal.
A rain of nuclear missiles fell upon the world's major cities. Within hours, civilization was wiped off the map. The landscape was reduced to ash and ruins. The Earth was enveloped by a blanket of toxic and radioactive clouds, blocking out the sunlight. With the sky darkened, a second Nuclear Winter began, plunging the planet into endless, terrifying cold. Ice covered the devastated lands, while humanity quickly became extinct.
However, not everyone perished. A group of ten survivors fought for their lives in the rubble. Surrounded by snow, radioactive fog, and death lurking around every corner, these few tried to survive in a hostile world. The sunlight never returned, the air was thick with ash, and the cold was relentless. But the worst thing was not the weather or the radiation... but something far more terrifying.
From the ruins of humanity, something emerged. An unknown entity, born of chaos, extreme cold, and radiation. As the survivors made their way through the vast desolation, they began to notice a presence. Footprints in the snow, shadows moving through the fog... And then they began to hear it. Heavy footsteps echoed in the distance, coming ever closer.
