🔴 The Lounge AFK-System

Take a short break without logging out: The Lounge AFK-System lets you toggle a protected AFK mode using /afk.

Your character remains visible and stays in the current game mode. A red [AFK] tag beside your name above your character and in the Tab player list lets other players know you are away.

Features

  • Protection from standard Minecraft damage, including players, mobs, lava, explosions, and drowning.
  • Hunger and existing status effects are paused while AFK.
  • New status effects are blocked while AFK.
  • Mobs do not select AFK players as normal attack targets.
  • Movement, attacks, and interactions are disabled while AFK.
  • Existing name colors and group tags are preserved.
  • Custom red messages prefixed with [The Lounge AFK-System].
  • Logging out clears your AFK status.

Commands

  • /afk – Enable or disable AFK mode.
  • /loungeafk – An alternative command with the same functionality.

No operator permissions required.

Installation and Requirements

The same mod version must be installed on the server and all clients. Remove old AFK JAR files first, then fully restart both the server and Minecraft.

  • Minecraft Java: 1.21.1
  • Mod loader: NeoForge 21.1.252 or later within the 21.1 series
  • Java: 21

Other mods may introduce custom damage or player mechanics. Please test compatibility using a copy of your world first.
