Description

Symbiote Curse
Symbiote Curse is a dark, immersive Minecraft mod that plunges players into the volatile world of Klyntar biology. Unlike typical power-fantasy mods, this project focuses on the high-stakes balance between god-like abilities and debilitating, lore-accurate vulnerabilities. You don’t just wear the suit; you survive the bond.

Core Mechanics
1. Parasitic Bonding
The mod introduces a dynamic hierarchy system. Every player begins as a Human. However, the world is teeming with Symbiote-infected entities.

Acquisition: If a Human kills a Symbiote-infected creature (e.g., an infected Zombie), the organism immediately leaps to the killer, establishing a new bond.

2. Unique Symbiote Strains
Each strain offers a distinct playstyle and visual identity:

Venom (Type 1): The classic powerhouse focusing on raw strength and durability.

Carnage (Type 2): The ultimate predator. Players with the Carnage symbiote can press 'R' to manifest Blades, granting a +1 Strength buff.

Agony (Type 3) & Anti-Venom (Type 4): Specialized strains with unique tactical advantages.

3. The Curse: Authentic Vulnerabilities
Power comes at a heavy price. To balance their immense strength, Symbiotes struggle with lore-accurate weaknesses:

Pyrophobia: While transformed, players take 1.5x more damage from fire, lava, and flame-based attacks.

Sonic Sensitivity: High-frequency vibrations destabilize the bond. If a Bell is rung within 10 blocks or a TNT explosion occurs within 8 blocks, the Symbiote recoils in agony.

Forced Reversion: Intense noise or explosions force the player back into Human form, stripping all buffs and triggering a 10-second cooldown where transformation is impossible.

4. Visual Quality
Advanced Layer Rendering: Utilizes a custom RenderLayer system that avoids "glow" layers, ensuring the Symbiotes' black, oily textures remain deep and menacing even in bright light.

Signature Eyes: Each Symbiote features iconic, piercing eye textures rendered naturally over the player model, maintaining intensity without washing out the rest of the skin.

Strategy
In Symbiote Curse, being a host is a constant game of cat and mouse. You are an apex predator lurking in the shadows, yet a single villager with a bell or a well-placed explosion can turn you into a defenseless human in seconds.
