This an unofficial version of The Twilight Forest for Fabric 1.20.1 made by IAFENVoy and me.
Supports Jappa Textures.
Note, that this fork is using old and unofficial sounds. If you want your custom sounds to be used, you would need to use your resourcepack.
Description of the mod:
"Imagine stepping through a portal into a twilight realm, filled with trees as far as the eye can see. Breathtaking vistas and amazing discoveries await you around every corner. But beware! Not all denizens of the forest respond to your intrusion lightly."
Twilight Forest is a dimension exploration mod focused on adventure that will take you on a journey to meet strange creatures, exploring dungeons, and much more. Some of the major features include:
• Fully Fledged dungeons.
• Varied boss battles with elaborate mechanics.
• Treasure and loot with unique traits and functions.
• Street cred; OG 2011 modding represent!
• Ongoing development. We never stop!
Getting Started
To get started in the mod, you first need to create a portal to access the Twilight Forest, after doing so you're ready to explore!
The portal can be assembles in any shape and size you want, the image above is just the minimum size requirement and the portal can be made in many different shapes and sizes. The portal functions as long as the following conditions are met:
1.) The frame is made out of Grass, Dirt, Podzol, Mycelium, etc.
2.) On top of the grass are flowers, mushrooms, leaves, plants, etc.
3.) The frame must be completely filled with water
Can I include this mod in my modpack?
- Of course!
May I fork it?
- Yes, you may. But don't forget to use the right licenses.

TF Unofficial ist no longer using the sounds from the GTHN's fork, since they changed their license conditions recently. The old 1.7.10 version of TF is fully LGPL-2.1, so we use it.
This project is double licensed under LGPL-2.1 and CC BY-NC-SA 4.0
The code is under LGPL-2.1, just like original project
The non-code assets are under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 , just like in the original project* BUT
the most sound assets that we used are from the MC 1.7.10 version of Twilight Forest. They are licensed under the license LGPL-2.1, so we are in the grey zone.
Other sounds that are not derived from mc 1.7.10 tf:

- home.ogg
- maker.ogg
- motion.ogg
- radiance.ogg
- steps.ogg
- superstitious.ogg
- thread.ogg
- wayfarer.ogg
- mob/alpha_yeti/*
- mob/deer/*

These sounds have either been deleted or are empty (0 Bytes) due to the copyright, or they were made by us and are licensed under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0, or they are free sounds available under a CC-compatible license.
Since The Twilight Forest can't legally hold copyright for the names of the sounds, we can use these names.
