# TickRate Mod
A challenge mod where the game gets progressively faster and more chaotic the longer you play or the more mistakes you make.
### 🎮 How it works:
You can switch between two different modes using the config menu or the `/speedmode <damage/time>` command:
* **Damage Mode:** Every time you take damage, the game's internal tickrate goes up. Play safe, or the world will quickly speed out of control.
* **Time Mode:** A passive survival challenge. The tickrate automatically increments by your chosen amount every few minutes (customizable).
* **The Reset:** Eating Golden Apples or Enchanted Golden Apples lowers the tickrate back down, giving you a chance to recover mid-run.
### ⚙️ Customizable Settings:
Everything can be tweaked straight from the main menu using NeoForge's built-in config screen:
* **TickRate Increase (1-50):** A slider to change exactly how much the speed jumps after taking damage or when a minute passes.
* **Time For Tickrate Increase (1-60 mins):** Set exactly how many minutes pass in Time Mode before the speed steps up.
* **Show Speed Bar (ON/OFF):** Toggle the top-screen boss bar if you want a clean HUD.
* **Display Type:** Switch the bar text between a percentage (100%, 150%) or raw engine numbers (20.0, 30.0).
* **Label Style:** Change the text prefix from "SPEED:" to "TICKRATE:".
* **Show Active Mode Tag:** Turn off the bracketed [Damage] or [Time] text next to the percentage if you don't want it.
*Requires Minecraft 1.21.1 and NeoForge.*
