About
Description
Timo’s Nations: Control & War is a JourneyMap-based territory mod made for long-term multiplayer servers. Players form nations, place a capital, and expand through cities and outposts. The goal is readable borders, controlled growth, and structured conflict that stays understandable even as the world gets crowded.
Claims and progression
Claims are tied to buildings. Capitals, cities, and outposts each own surrounding chunks and define regions. Expansion costs scale with connectivity. Connected growth is cheaper, while disconnected colonies cost more, so nations must choose between safe expansion and pushing into remote territory. Progression starts small and unlocks deeper systems as nations grow.
Regions, rings, and ownership rules
Each building has defined protection rules and inner-ring ownership to prevent confusing overlap. Regions are assigned by proximity and path connectivity, so chunks belong to the most logical building. Flipping and unclaiming use confirmations and connectivity checks to prevent accidental loss or orphaned claims, keeping region logic stable and intuitive.
HUD and JourneyMap overlays
The mod includes clear in-game HUD panels and JourneyMap overlays for region ownership, inner and outer rings, claim costs, and status at a glance. Labels and lenses help players understand what is protected, what is contested, and what expansion will cost without digging through menus.
War systems
War is a core system. Nations can declare structured wars with capture mechanics, tickets, timed phases, and vulnerable targets. Real-time HUD and map feedback show objectives and contested zones, giving battles clear goals and clear outcomes. The system supports organized conflict rather than random griefing.
Server-ready focus
Designed for persistent servers, the mod adds guardrails for claims, upgrades, disbands, and region changes so mistakes are rare and recoverable. It scales to multiple nations, supports long-term rivalries, and keeps maps understandable as worlds grow.
