Description

TODD: Technological Odyssey — Dawn of Development

A complete reimagining of early-game survival in Minecraft.

Overview: TODD is a hardcore mod that transforms the beginning of the game into a tense and slow struggle for existence. Forget about fast progression to diamonds; here, your first major achievement will be crafting a simple stone knife. The mod adds a complex technological chain based on realistic survival methods and fills the world with new dangers.

Key Features:

Deep and Slow Progression:

  • Completely revamped early gameplay. You will start with bare hands, capable of harvesting only gravel and sand.

  • New resources and crafting chains: Introduced stone shards (flint, granite, sandstone, obsidian), each with its own specialization.

Significantly Enhanced Difficulty:

  • Smarter and more dangerous mobs: Zombies, skeletons, and spiders have become much stronger, more resilient, and more tactical. Every night is a real battle for survival.

  • Complex hunger and effects system: Food satiates hunger only briefly, and new effects (e.g., Hallucinations from consuming an eye) constantly remind you of the world's harshness.

New Economy and World Interaction:

  • Value of every resource: Wood and stone cannot be harvested by hand. This requires special tools that must first be crafted.

  • Unique mechanics: Use Sharp Sticks to harvest sticks from tree trunks and collect cobwebs. Use Flint Knives for wood processing and butchering carcasses.

  • New items and blocks: From primitive tools (sharp sticks, flint knives, flint) to blocks — the world is filled with new crafting goals.

  • Constantly Evolving Threat:

  • Survival does not get easier with each night lived. You will constantly have to adapt, improve your tools, and find new tactics to counter the growing danger.

Mod Philosophy: Our goal is not just to add difficulty. We are creating an experience of slow, meaningful technological ascent, where the value of every item is felt through the labor invested in its creation.

Current State: Pre-Alpha The mod is under active development. Current versions focus on debugging and balancing the very beginning of the game cycle — the path from bare hands to the first reliable tool.

Who is this mod for? For those seeking a challenge where every victory is a hard-earned achievement, and death from starvation or in the jaws of a zombie is a harsh but honest reality.

The Embraces of Silk Death A hunter became prey. Entangled in sticky threads, he fights not for victory, but for one more breath. Every movement is agony, every second—a battle against the inevitable. The spider's web has become both prison and final battlefield.
  • Last Hope at the Trunk
Last Hope at the Trunk The emptiness inside and the scraping against wood. The hands remember what to do when the mind has almost faded. The last hope lies in a wood chip that can postpone the end.
  • The Price of a Sip of Life (a player without one eye)
The Price of a Sip of Life (a player without one eye) The night always takes its toll. One eye. One chance. One life, measured no longer in days, but in strokes of luck.
