Description

Trial Glow

Trial Glow is a datapack that allows you to ring a bell on top of a trial spawner to make all its mobs glow!

How to use:

  1. Place a bell on top of a trial spawner
  2. Ring the bell by right-clicking it
  3. The glow effect will now be applied to all mobs spawned from that trial spawner!

Redstone Update 1.3.0!

Since version 1.3.0, you can use redstone to activate the glowing effect! Simply ring a bell once by right-clicking it after placing it to make it work with redstone. If you are updating to version 1.3.0, you will also have to ring any existing bells once to make them work with redstone.

Details

Ringing a bell will only highlight the mobs spawned from the trial spawner below the bell. Only mobs already spawned before ringing the bell will be highlighted (meaning mobs spawned after ringing the bell will not be highlighted). Mobs are highlighted for 30 seconds.

Redstone Details

The glowing effect activates whenever the bell's state changes from not powered to powered. This means that you have to re-power the bell to apply the glowing effect again. Just like normal redstone!

Compatibility

This datapack is automatically compatible with any mod and/or datapack that adds trial spawners in its structures. A popular example is Dungeons and Taverns
