This is an unofficial fork of the True Darkness mod by GrondagTheBarbarian, bringing it to Forge 1.19.4 & Forge 1.20.X; for a Fabric Fork please see here.
GrondagTheBarbarian is the original author and all credit belongs to him.**
If the original mod gets updated, this page will be archived as it will serve no purpose.**
This mod should only be installed on the client. Installing on the server will do nothing or perhaps even cause unexpected issues.

Modded Compatibility:
Tested with 0.3.1 Embeddium + 1.1.2 Starlight and works with no issues - I would assume it works with the newer versions of Sodium because of this (since Embeddium at its core is a fork of Sodium) aswell as other renderer replacers.
Description:
Moody brightness not dark enough? Do you want moonless nights and unlit caverns to be pitch black? This mod is for you!
If you're anything like me you think this mod is the gold standard of any modpack to add atmosphere; which is why I was left feeling empty when there was no 1.20.1 version available and the mod seemingly has abandoned support at 1.19.3. This fixes that through a simple change, so that people that aren't tech savvy can get the mod working again!
