Description

Whenever an Experience Orb attempts to be "Spawned" a Wooden Coin will spawn in it's place.

Using the coin will give Player Experience Points based on the value of the coin.

Coins can also be upgraded all the way up to Netherite Coins.

Want to store your Player Experience?  Craft the Experience Bag and save that XP for later!  (1 Wooden Coin Surrounded by 8 Leather in the Crafting Table)

Default Coin Values...
Wooden Coins = 2 Exp This value can be changed in the config file (added 1.0.2).  All proceeding values will be affected by the value of the wooden coin.

Stone Coins = 18 Exp  (Wooden Value x9)

Iron Coins = 162 Exp  (Stone Value x9)

Golden Coins = 1458 Exp  (Iron Value x9)

Diamond Coins = 13122 Exp  (Golden Value x9)

Netherite Coins = 118098 Exp (Diamond Value x9)

You can craft higher tier coins by placing 9 coins into the crafting table.  This is why the values are multiplied by 9.

A Single Coin can also be downgraded in a crafting table as well.

I created this mod as an alternative Currency which players can easily work for and trade amongst themselves.

Update 1.0.1 - Merged the Experience Bag with the Coin Creator.  Felt they didn't need to be separate items and worked better as one.

Update 1.0.2 - Added a Config File to allow players to change the Coin Values and Increased the BASE VALUE of the Wooden Coin.

Update 1.0.3 - Added Mending Compatibility.  A Mending "Check" will now be performed on the closest player to a Coin Drop.

Update 1.0.4 -

  • Mending Check is now applied when a coin is USED.
  • Experience Bag Recipe now requires Lapis Lazuli instead of a Wooden Coin.
  • Added Config Option to Disable Coin Drops.  If Disabled, you will only be able to make coins using the Experience Bag.
  • If Coin Drops are Enabled, and the Value of the Wooden Coin is set to MORE than the experience dropped, you will get an Orb Instead.  EXAMPLE:  Wooden Coins are worth 2 xp, and a Zombie drops 5 xp.  The Zombie will drop 2 Wooden Coins and an Experience Orb worth 1 xp.
  • All Recipes will be learned when a Wooden Coin is picked up.
  • Experience Bag Recipe can also be learned when Lapis Lazuli is picked up.
