Variant Picker
Want the pigs from one pack, the zombies from another and the babies from a third? Variant Picker is an add-on for Texture Mixer that turns its Mobs tab into one row per mob, so you can pick each mob's pack and watch it move in 3D before you apply anything.
Client-side · Fabric, NeoForge and Forge · Minecraft 1.18 – 26.3 · needs Texture Mixer
What you get
- One row per mob. Everything your packs do to the pig is in a single row called "Pig". A husk gets its own row instead of hiding under "Zombie".
- Flip between packs with the arrows, or click a pack's cover. You always get that pack's whole version of the mob: its textures, its variants and its model.
- Browse the looks. If a pack has lots of pigs (ETF random textures or numbered EMF models), the preview cycles through them, or you can stop on the one you want.
- The pack's own animations. The preview uses the pack's EMF model, so Fresh Animations and the like play just like in the world: mobs walk, blink, flap their wings and swim. Drag to turn them around.
- Babies. Every mob with a baby form has a Baby / Adult button. With Different babies you can take the babies from another pack and keep the adults as they are; the preview shows both side by side.
- Player models. Packs that change the player's model or animations get a row too, and the preview uses your own skin.
- Only what the game would really show is listed. Variants a higher pack hides, and old files Minecraft stopped using in 1.21.5, are skipped.
How to use it
Press V to open Texture Mixer and go to the Mobs tab. Pick a pack for each mob you care about and press Apply.
