Keep your favorite villagers a call away.

Villager Link adds the Emerald Calling Orb, a reusable tool that lets you register villagers and open their trades from a distance, even across dimensions!

Trade Menu

How it works

Right-click an adult villager with the orb to add them to your contacts. Then right click the orb in the air, choose a contact, and start trading.

Your contact list holds 5 villagers by default. Each contact shows their name, job, portrait, and availability.

Main Menu

You can rename contacts, mark favorites, change their order, or remove them. Hold Shift over a contact to view trade previews and their last known location.

Note: All your orbs share your personal contact list, so breaking or replacing an orb does not erase your contacts.

Requires 1 emerald block,4 ender pearls, and 4 gold ingots.

Orb Crafting Recipe

Configuration

The configuration file is config/villager_link.cfg.

  • Contact limit: 5 by default.
  • Orb durability: 32 by default; 0 makes it unbreakable.
  • Temporary remote chunk loading: enabled by default.
  • Maximum call duration: 300 seconds by default.

Restart Minecraft after changing the configuration. Use matching settings on the server and clients.

Keep your villagers safe

Remote calls do not make villagers invulnerable. Their area may load during a check or call, and existing mobs can still hurt them. Keep valuable villagers in a safe spot.
