Description
📖 VisitUrFriends
Visit your friends' singleplayer worlds through a Nether portal. No server, no port forwarding.
📝 About
VisitUrFriends adds the Destination Book (German: Zielbuch). One player hosts, the other enters the invite code, and a Nether portal takes you to your friend's world. Going back is just as easy.
🚪 How it works
Host
- Open your world and get a Destination Book (Tools & Utilities tab).
- Right-click the book and press Host: Portal erstellen. An invite code is created and copied.
- Send the code to your friend and throw the book into your Nether portal.
Guest
- Right-click your own Destination Book, enter the code and press Gast: Code eingeben.
- Throw the book into a Nether portal in your world.
- Stand in the portal until it has charged. You will join your friend's world.
Going back: walk through any Nether portal in your friend's world to return to your own world.
✨ Features
- 🌐 Your world is opened to LAN automatically
- 🔗 Invite codes instead of IP addresses
- 🔒 Works with real Minecraft accounts (online mode stays on)
- 🏠 Guests return to their own world with one portal
📦 Requirements
Both players need the mod.
- Fabric Loader and Fabric API
- e4mc (creates the connection tunnel)
- Minecraft 26.2 and Java 25
⚠️ Good to know
- Meant for singleplayer worlds opened to LAN. Not for dedicated servers.
- The host's world must stay open while the guest is visiting.
- e4mc creates a new address every time a world is opened. Create a new code after each world start.
- To exchange invite codes, the mod contacts a small rendezvous server. Only the invite code and the e4mc address are sent.
- The mod contains no native code or bundled binaries.
