Description

Description:

Vitality is a mod that adds a diet system to Minecraft. Its main goal is to encourage players to consume healthy foods, such as carrots, apples, and beetroot.

If you have eaten a healthy food item recently, you will gain extra movement abilities: Double Jumping, Wall Jumping, and Soft Landing.

If you haven't eaten a healthy food item in a while, you will be at risk of having the weakness status effect.

Additionally, when improving your diet to 'Good', you will briefly gain regeneration.

Controls

Double Jump: Press space while mid-air. Holding crouch will also increase the height of the double jump.

Wall Jump: Face a wall, crouch, and release.

Soft Landing: Press or hold space shortly before landing on the ground to roll gracefully. This will negate fall damage from heights of 7 blocks or fewer. Any fall damage taken from greater heights will only be slightly reduced.

Configuration:

There are a few configuration options available to customize the experience.

  • allowWallJump enables/disables wall jumping for all players (Default: True)
  • allowDoubleJump enables/disables double jumping for all players (Default: True)
  • allowSoftLand enables/disables soft landing for all players (Default: True)
  • improveDietRegeneration enables/disables the regeneration effect given when a player improves their diet (Default: True)
  • healthyEatingWindow controls how many non-healthy foods can be eaten before your diet reaches "Bad" or 0%. (Default: 10)

There is also a #vitality:healthy item tag that can be used to make different foods considered healthy.

By default, the available healthy foods are:
