🛌 True Sleep
"Experience the Night. Smooth Accelerated Time-Warp Sleeping with World Continuity."
📖 Introduction
Vanilla Minecraft sleep is an instant, jarring black screen fade. You right-click a bed, the screen cuts to black for two seconds, and it is suddenly broad daylight. In that instant snap, nocturnal immersion is completely severed: you never experience the tranquil sweep of stars, passing weather systems, or the gentle break of dawn. Furthermore, world simulation is frozen: crops stop growing, furnaces stop smelting, and automation pauses until morning.
True Sleep reimagines nighttime resting under the Vanilla Outsider design philosophy. Instead of skipping time with a black fade, True Sleep smoothly accelerates world time in a cinematic Time-Warp simulation. Watch celestial bodies arc across the sky in high-speed timelapse, furnace ores smelt, crops advance through growth cycles, and hoppers feed machinery continuously toward morning.
1 Jar 1 Version Policy: I build 1 dedicated JAR for each Minecraft version anchor (MC 1.20.1, MC 1.21.1, MC 1.21.11, MC 26.1.2, MC 26.2, MC 26.3+). Please download the exact build that matches your Minecraft installation.
Dedicated Server Ready: Seamlessly compatible with multiplayer servers. When enough players sleep (respecting vanilla's playersSleepingPercentage), time accelerates smoothly for everyone in the dimension without desynchronization or lag spikes!

✨ Features
🌌 Smooth Celestial Time-Warp Timelapse
- No Black Fade: The jarring black sleep overlay is completely removed, allowing you to watch the passage of time directly from your bed.
- Fluid Sky Rendering: Employs client-side celestial angle interpolation so the sun, moon, clouds, and stars glide smoothly across the sky without jitter or teleporting jumps during high-speed simulation.
- 15-Tick Wind-Down Deceleration: If sleep is interrupted or morning arrives, time smoothly decelerates over 15 ticks back to normal 20 TPS rather than abruptly snapping.
⚙️ World Continuity & Machine Acceleration
- Continuous Tile Entity Processing: Furnaces, smokers, blast furnaces, brewing stands, campfires, beehives, bee nests, and modded machines (
#truesleep:accelerated_machines) continue processing during sleep at matching speeds.
- Smart Hopper Coupling: Hoppers feeding into or pulling from active production machines automatically accelerate to feed items at matching speeds, preventing automation bottlenecks.
🐑 Biological Farm Aging & Sleep Hunger
- Living Animal Simulation: While mobs are in stasis, biological aging continues: sheep regrow wool via natural grass grazing, chicken egg timers advance, and baby animals mature.
- Sleep Hunger Drain: A modest amount of hunger drains overnight (~3 to 4 food points over a standard night) so you wake up naturally ready for breakfast, with an unbreakable safety floor at sprint threshold (6 food level / 3 drumsticks).
🛑 Mob Stasis & Dynamic Entity Unfreezing
- TPS Preservation: General mob AI ticking is paused during time warp to save CPU performance and prevent wandering, suffocating, or despawning.
- Worker Mob Exemption: Villagers and iron golems can be optionally exempted from freezing via
truesleep:freeze_workers.
- Dynamic Per-Mob Unfreeze Rules: Generates dynamic GameRules (
truesleep:unfreeze_<namespace>_<entity>) for every registered entity type, allowing redstone engineers to unfreeze specific mobs for automated farms.
🏊 Safe Rest & Vibration Damping
- Pulmonary Stasis / Drown Immunity: Resting players maintain full oxygen supply underwater (
truesleep:drown_immunity), enabling safe underwater base naps.
- Vibration Suppression: Sculk sensors and wardens ignore vibrations during time warp to prevent false alarms and warden summonings while resting.

💻 In-Game Brigadier Command Suite
True Sleep provides a complete in-game command suite under /truesleep:
| Command Syntax |
Permission |
Description |
/truesleep status |
All Players |
Displays current time-warp status (ACTIVE / IDLE) and simulation stride multiplier. |
/truesleep get <setting> |
Admin (Level 2) |
Queries the live value of any True Sleep configuration setting. |
/truesleep set <setting> <value> |
Admin (Level 2) |
Live-updates a setting and synchronizes GameRules immediately. |
/truesleep reset <setting> |
Admin (Level 2) |
Restores a setting back to its factory default value. |
/truesleep reload |
Admin (Level 2) |
Reloads config/truesleep.json and updates all live GameRules. |
🎨 Optional Client Configuration GUI
Prefer a visual settings screen? True Sleep includes an optional client configuration screen powered by ModMenu and YetAnotherConfigLib (YACL v3):
- General Settings: Tune Performance Limit (
engine_tps), Time Speed (virtual_tps), and Machine / Hopper acceleration.
- Dreamweaver Settings: Adjust Sleep Threshold, Wake Time, Mob Freezing, Worker Freezing, and Drown Immunity.
- Side-Safe: The GUI is strictly optional and client-only. Running True Sleep on dedicated servers without YACL will never cause crashes or classloader issues.
