Description
Quickstart
- Craft the Voiddraw Katana using the recipe below.
- Hold it in your main hand and right-click to switch stances — each switch announces the new stance in chat with a distinct sound and color.
- Just keep it in your main hand (no need to attack) to passively gain that stance's buffs.
- Attack enemies to apply the stance's unique on-hit effect.
- Cycle through all four stances to find the one that fits your combat style, then swap on the fly mid-fight.
Overview
The Voiddraw Katana is a single powerful sword that behaves differently depending on which of its four legendary stances is currently active. Rather than carrying multiple weapons, you carry one katana and reshape its fighting style at will by right-clicking to cycle stances. Each stance grants passive combat buffs while held and applies a unique debuff or effect to enemies you strike.
What It Adds
- Voiddraw Katana — a netherite-tier sword that fights in the
swordsitem category, usable anywhere a normal sword works, but with shifting combat techniques.
Crafting And Obtaining
Craft the katana using amethyst shards, an iron ingot, and a stick arranged in a katana-like pattern:

Abilities And Mechanics
Switching Stances: Right-click while holding the katana to cycle to the next stance. A short cooldown prevents rapid-fire switching, and each swap plays a rising-pitch sweep sound and prints the stance name in chat.
The Four Stances
| Stance | Passive Buff (while held) | On-Hit Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Kenjutsu — The Art of the Sword | Strength I + Resistance I | Weakens the target |
| Iaido — The Art of the Quick Draw | Speed II | Slows the target |
| Battojutsu — Explosive Draw Strike | Strength II | Heavily slows and weakens the target, plus extra knockback |
| Nito-ryu — Two-Sword Style | Haste II + Speed I | (Balanced dual-wield style, focused on speed and utility) |
Passive buffs only apply while the katana is in your main hand, and they refresh continuously as long as you keep it equipped.
Progression And Strategy
- Use Kenjutsu for balanced, sustained fights where survivability matters.
- Use Iaido when you need mobility and want to kite or chase down slowed enemies.
- Use Battojutsu as an opening burst stance — its heavy slow, weakness, and knockback make it excellent for controlling a single dangerous target.
- Use Nito-ryu when you want faster overall combat tempo, mixing movement and attack speed.
- Since switching stances is free (aside from a brief cooldown) and can be done mid-combat, experiment with swapping stances reactively — for example, opening with Battojutsu to stun-lock a foe, then switching to Kenjutsu to finish safely.
