Walk Generate World

Walk Generate World changes exploration by making the terrain appear only as players move through it.

The playable world begins almost completely empty. Whenever a player walks into a new block position, the corresponding vertical terrain column is copied from a hidden, naturally generated Minecraft world. Caves, ores, biomes, structures, and terrain are revealed progressively beneath each player.

How It Works

Each playable dimension has a hidden natural source dimension and an initially empty public WalkGen dimension.

As players explore, complete vertical columns are copied from the source world into the public world. The revealed terrain is shared between all players and remains permanently visible after restarting the server.

Multiplayer

All players explore the same shared world. Multiple players can reveal different paths simultaneously, while the server uses a global generation budget to keep the workload controlled.
