Weapons of Japan adds 9 new weapon types that were used by the japanese in combat in the past.
The items can be crafted from wood, stone, copper, iron, gold, diamond and can be upgraded into netherite weapons.
Kama:
A scythe that likely evolved from the tool into a weapon.
Its a bit faster and weaker then the standard sword, but can be used as a hoe.

Kunai:
A multipurpose tool, thought to be originally derived from the masonry trowel. It was later adopted by practitioners of ninjutsu as a versatile, easily concealed multi-purpose tool.
Very fast, weak, thrownable and can be enchanted with trident, sword and shovel enchantments as it can also be used as a shovel.

Nagamaki:
A type of traditionally made Japanese sword with a slightly curved blade and an extra long handle, used by the samurai class of feudal Japan.
Stronger and slower then the standard sword, but also granting an interaction range bonus (+1)

Naginata:
A polearm that were also used by the samurai class of feudal Japan, as well by ashigaru (foot soldiers) and sōhei (warrior monks).
And an iconic weapon of the onna-musha, a type of female warrior belonging to the Japanese nobility.
Because of its size it gets an interaction range bonus (+2)

Nodachi:
A specialized, long-range battlefield weapon with a slightly curved blade that was also used by the samurai class of feudal Japan.
Very strong, but slow. Also gets an interaction range bonus (+1.5)

Okinawan Tonfa:
A melee weapon with its origins in the armed component of Okinawan martial arts where it is known as the tunkua.
Weak, but fast, and can be used as a shield. (40-80% block value)

Sasumata:
A "man catcher" polearm, used by the samurai class and their retainers in feudal Japan.
Weak, slow, and gets an interaction range bonus (+1) and also a knockback attack bonus (+2)

Shuriken:
Used by samurai and shinobi as disposable, supplementary weapons for distraction, misdirection, or to harass enemies during guerrilla warfare.
Stackable, weak, very fast, and can be thrown.

Tekko-Kagi:
A traditional Japanese, claw-like hand weapon and tool historically used by ninja and martial artists.
Weak, but fast, and can be used as a shield. (30-65% block value)

(The weapons description is taken from wikipedia and other places as a quick notice about them)
The main goal of the mod is to have more weapon variants, not to add overpowered items.
Currently supports forge, fabric and neoforge 1.21.9 - 1.21.11, 26.x.
Versions below 1.21.9. are not supported.
