About

Description

Wearable Elytra allows the vanilla Minecraft Elytra to be equipped in a compatible accessory slot instead of occupying the chest armor slot.

The Elytra keeps its normal vanilla flight behavior, durability and enchantment functionality while allowing players to continue using their regular chest armor.

Features

  • Equip the vanilla Elytra in a compatible accessory slot.
  • Keeps the player's chest armor slot available.
  • Preserves normal Elytra gliding and flight behavior.
  • Elytra durability decreases normally while flying.
  • Fully supports Mending and other durability changes.
  • Supports normal Elytra enchantments.
  • Adds a dedicated Elytra HUD indicator next to the Minecraft hotbar.
  • Displays the equipped Elytra directly on the HUD.
  • Shows the vanilla durability bar on the HUD indicator.
  • HUD durability updates automatically when the Elytra is damaged or repaired.
  • Supports coordinated positioning with other compatible accessory HUD indicators.
  • Hidden accessory indicators do not create unnecessary HUD gaps.

HUD Integration

When used alongside compatible accessory projects, HUD indicators can be displayed in the following order:

Elytra → Totem → Quiver

The Elytra occupies the first accessory HUD position next to the vanilla hotbar.

Requirements

  • Minecraft 26.3
  • NeoForge

Compatibility

Wearable Elytra is designed to work alongside compatible Totem and Quiver accessory projects.

It does not replace or modify the player's normal chest armor inventory. The Elytra remains equipped separately while retaining its standard Minecraft flight mechanics.

Notes

Some HUD functionality is client-side, while Elytra equipment and flight behavior remain synchronized with normal gameplay mechanics.
